ASRI 2023 Travel Grant Awardees


Travel Awards

ASRI awards travel grants to support trainees attending the Annual Meeting. Priority is given to abstracts selected for oral presentation.

A minimum of ten (10) awards in the amount of $500 each will be given annually.  Additional awards may be given, dependent upon available funding and/or sponsorship.

Attendees from less economically developed countries (LEDC) may request financial assistance to cover the registration fee by emailing manager@theasri.org. LEDC Scholarships are limited and priority is given to selected Oral presenters.

How to Apply

  1. Submit an abstract for the annual meeting by the deadline. 
  2. On the submission form, be sure to check the box to be considered for a Travel Award AND upload all requested materials, including proof of trainee status.

Award Notifications will be sent out by March 15

Required Application Materials

  • Nominators will be asked to furnish a letter of support and curriculum vitae for each award recipient.

In lieu of travel grants, the 2021 Virtual Meeting awarded 2 LEDC members scholarships to cover registration fees for the online meeting.  The awardees were Lara Aleta (Univ. Philippines) and Rubina Bunjun (Univ. Cape Town).
