On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court of the United States overturned Roe v. Wade, and with it, the ability of reproductive health professionals and their patients to make private, life-changing decisions about reproductive health and abortion.

The American Society of Reproductive Immunology (ASRI) recognizes reproductive and abortion care as essential healthcare, and the rights of pregnant people as human rights. The ASRI stands in solidarity with ACOG, SMFM and other professional societies in condemning this decision as inequitable, advocating for reproductive health decisions to be kept between the individual and their health care provider.
