Committee Description

The Publications Committee consists of four members: two elected by the ASRI membership and two appointed by Council, all serving staggered four-year terms. Members are selected to represent different institutions. The Chair serves as a non-voting member of Council and as an ex officio member of the Finance Committee.

This committee is responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of ASRI's official publications, ensuring they remain trusted and authoritative resources for the reproductive immunology community.

The role of the committee is to:

  • Oversee the management and evaluation of The American Journal of Reproductive Immunology and any other official ASRI publications, subject to the general supervision of Council;
  • Review the budget of The American Journal of Reproductive Immunology; and
  • Recommend Editors-in-Chief to Council for appointment, approve Editorial Board appointments as recommended by the Editor-in-Chief, and provide ongoing oversight of the Editor-in-Chief.

Committee Mission

The Publications Committee works to ensure that The American Journal of Reproductive Immunology remains a high-quality, trusted source of research that supports and advances the field of reproductive immunology.

The committee will:

  1. Uphold Editorial Standards — Provide oversight of the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board, ensuring that editorial leadership and processes reflect the Society's commitment to scientific rigor and excellence; and
  2. Advance the Journal — Evaluate proposed changes and improvements to ASRI publications, review publication budgets, and make recommendations to Council that support the long-term health and impact of the Journal.
