The American Society for

Reproductive Immunology

Committee Description

The Membership Committee consists of at least five members appointed by Council on staggered three-year terms.

This committee is dedicated to helping ASRI meet the needs of the reproductive immunology community by ensuring that membership criteria, composition, and practices reflect the evolving landscape of the field.

The role of the committee is to:

  • Determine the eligibility of applicants for active membership and submit applications to Council for approval;
  • Recommend to Council any changes in the criteria for membership; and
  • Solicit membership applications, analyze the current membership for composition and representation, and make recommendations to Council regarding recruitment, retention, and inclusivity.

Committee Mission

The Membership Committee serves as the voice of the broader reproductive immunology community within ASRI, ensuring that the Society remains responsive, inclusive, and reflective of its members' needs.

The committee will:

  1. Uphold Membership Standards — Evaluate applicants, maintain the integrity of the membership process, and recommend updates to eligibility criteria that keep pace with the evolving composition of the field; and
  2. Grow and Strengthen the Community — Actively recruit new members, assess the diversity and representation of the current membership, and advocate for changes to ASRI practices, policies, or bylaws that better serve the reproductive immunology community.
