The American Society for

Reproductive Immunology

Committee Description

The Awards Committee consists of six members: three elected by the ASRI membership and three appointed by Council, all serving staggered three-year terms.  This committee is dedicated to recognizing outstanding achievement and professional promise among investigators in the field of reproductive immunology.

The role of the committee is to:

  • Review nominations and recommend recipients to Council for ASRI Career Awards, Travel Awards, and other named awards sponsored by the Society;
  • Nominate qualified ASRI members for relevant awards and honors offered by external organizations;
  • Review and evaluate meeting-related awards, including the Gusdon Award and Poster Awards; and
  • Explore opportunities for the establishment of new ASRI awards that reflect the evolving needs and achievements of the field.

Committee Mission

The Awards Committee serves as ASRI's primary body for identifying and honoring excellence within the reproductive immunology community — both by recognizing established investigators for career achievement and by highlighting the promise of emerging scientists.

The committee will:

  1. Recognize Achievement — Evaluate nominations and applications for designated ASRI awards and make recommendations to Council, ensuring a rigorous and equitable review process; and
  2. Expand Opportunity — Actively identify external awards for which ASRI members may be eligible and explore the development of new Society awards that reflect the breadth and growth of the reproductive immunology field.
