Committee Description
The Finance Committee consists of five members: two elected by the ASRI membership and three appointed by Council, all serving staggered three-year terms. The Treasurer serves as Chair of the committee. The Chair of the Publications Committee and the President serve as ex officio, non-voting members.
This committee is responsible for the fiscal oversight and financial planning of ASRI, ensuring the Society's resources are managed responsibly and in support of its mission.
The role of the committee is to:
- Review annually the coordinated budget proposals for ASRI and The Journal of Reproductive Immunology as prepared by the President;
- Make recommendations to Council concerning annual budgets, reserve funds, and investments; and
- Develop plans and generate revenues to fund special scientific and educational activities of ASRI.
Committee Mission
The Finance Committee safeguards the financial health of ASRI by providing informed oversight of the Society's budgets, reserves, and investments, while actively identifying opportunities to fund and sustain the scientific and educational initiatives that advance the field of reproductive immunology.
The committee will:
- Ensure Fiscal Responsibility — Review and advise on annual budgets and financial policies, providing Council with the analysis and recommendations needed to make sound fiscal decisions on behalf of the Society; and
- Support the Society's Mission — Identify and develop revenue opportunities that enable ASRI to invest in high-impact scientific, educational, and professional activities for its members.
