Dr. John Gusdon Memorial New Investigator Award
This award is given annually to a new investigator with trainee status (i.e., graduate student, postdoctoral scientist, or resident) who has made a significant contribution by presenting an outstanding research paper during the annual meeting of the ASRI. This award is given annually in memory of Dr. John Gusdon, a founding member of the ASRI, and an advocate of student participation in ASRI meetings. Abstracts are evaluated by a committee and the top 5 competitors are selected to give an oral presentation at the meeting (in addition to a poster). When you submit your abstract, please check whether you would like to be considered for the Gusdon Award and provide proof of trainee status by asking your supervisor to send a letter confirming trainee status to

ASRI Travel Awards
ASRI provides several $500 travel awards to students and trainees who submit an abstract or attend the Postgraduate Course. Awards for students presenting abstracts will be based on the quality of the abstract. Special grants are also available to students working with farm animal models. Funding for travel grants is provided by ASRI, NIH and USDA.
